Louise Moore Pine Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship was created as a result of the bequest by Louise Moore Pine, noted community leader and philanthropist. Mrs. Pine was an accomplished pianist and an influential member of the Easton community who was married to Hugh Moore, the founder of the Dixie Cup Company. She was also an important national figure interested in population planning and the right to die and was an early proponent of the living will. A county park bears her name and she was the recipient of several national honors and awards. This scholarship was founded to provide academic scholarship assistance to full and part-time students whose income might otherwise ordinarily prevent them from qualifying for financial aid from governmental sources and are in good academic standing.
