Mario José Donate Torres Memorial Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship honors Mario José Donate Torres, who was born in Puerto Rico, studied in the United Sates and after facing many language barriers returned to Puerto Rico to become a successful businessman. A father of nine, he instilled in each of his children a love of and appreciation for the value of a good education. He made sure that all nine had access to higher education. This endowment is their tribute to his memory. This scholarship was founded to provide support to Hispanic students, particularly those of Puerto Rican descent.
